This bespoke 8m x 4m garden room was designed and built as a dual purpose space, combining a private garden bar and entertainment area with a dedicated beautician’s workspace.
The brief was to create a practical yet stylish environment that could function as both a business space and a social setting, complete with a fully fitted bathroom and integrated shed storage. The result is a well structured, fully insulated garden room built for year round use and finished to a high standard throughout.
A custom built bar forms the centrepiece of the space, constructed in two sections an overhanging seating area with integrated LED track lighting beneath, and a lower working section for drink preparation. Generous storage was incorporated behind the bar to maintain a clean, organised finish.
Externally, the building features vertical treated tongue and groove cladding, finished in Zinsser exterior matt black, complemented by black uPVC windows and French doors. A 600mm front canopy with integrated external spotlights enhances both practicality and presence.
To the side of the building, a veranda provides a sheltered outdoor seating area, complete with landscape batten windbreakers. The surrounding patio was tiled and retained with sleeper edging and balustrade detail, completing the overall setting.
Internally, the room is fully insulated and plastered, finished in a clean white scheme with tiled flooring and tile skirting throughout the main area. The bathroom includes a shower and is finished with half-height tiling and a pre-finished oak door. Ethernet, TV points, internal spotlights and CCTV were installed, with all electrical works completed by a NICEIC registered contractor.

This project demonstrates Oakrya’s ability to deliver fully managed, multi-functional garden spaces built with structure, attention to detail and a considered finish throughout.
